Tony Karapetyan is a pianist, composer, and producer working at the intersection of contemporary jazz, original music, and international musical projects.

Born into a family of musicians, he was surrounded by music from an early age, continuing a musical tradition passed down through generations. His music combines the jazz tradition, contemporary European aesthetics, and influences from diverse cultures and musical traditions.

Tony develops his own musical projects and collaborates with musicians from the international music scene, including Sebastian Studnitzky, Eric Marienthal, Mateusz Krautwurst, Petros Klampanis, Haig Yazdjian, and Magnus Öström. Through his projects, he brings together musicians from different countries and creative backgrounds, creating a space for international artistic dialogue.

In addition to his work as a performer and composer, Tony is involved in producing and curating musical projects — from concept development and assembling ensembles to production, collaboration with venues and partners, and promotion.

His work brings together performance, original music, and music production, creating new connections between jazz, diverse cultures, and contemporary musical practices.

"Karapetyan is most like himself. He plays amazingly simply, naturally, I’ll use a common cliché: “he plays like he breathes.”

"...two characteristic moments are striking. The first is the profound naturalness of his own musical language, a complete absence of memorized axioms and gentlemanly a set of ingrained quotes and influences, an organic and sympathetic indifference to standards industry."
